2008-2009 Parents’ Association
The 2008-2009 School year is off to an exciting start, marked by the always spirited Opening Day Convocation and the opening of the new RPCS Athletic Complex. The Parents’ Association is looking forward to another successful year.
Purpose
The primary role of the Roland Park Country School Parents’ Association is to assist the school in its various fundraising and volunteer efforts, and to promote school spirit, communication and cooperation within the RPCS community. As parents of RPCS students, we are all members of the Parents’ Association. Meetings of the PA Board meet on the first Friday of every month at 8:00am in the Trustee Seminar Room in the new Athletic Complex. These meetings are open to all parents, and are a wonderful way to hear what is happening at the school, so please join us.
Meetings
The Parent Networks for all three divisions have held their first meeting of the 2008-2009 school year. Meetings of the Parent Networks are also always open to all parents and the information from the meetings will be communicated to you through your parent network representatives. Planning is underway for the fall Parent Socials, and information will be coming soon about the specifics of each grade’s event. The Parent Socials are a great opportunity for parents to connect with one another and I hope everyone will make every effort to attend.
Holiday Fair
Plans are already well underway for the Parents’ Association’s major fundraiser – the Annual Holiday Fair, which will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2008. We are excited to be able to use the new Athletic Complex. Volunteer forms for the Holiday Fair and other PA needs were handed out at the Back-to-School nights for each division, and I hope that each of you will take a moment to consider how you can help. There is something for everyone and for every schedule!
