ALL ABOUT ME!
"I believe that children teach us far more than we could ever teach them."
Hello there! I am happy to see that you are taking some time to enter into my humble world. So, let's begin learning all about me. Pay attention! There's a test at the end! (No, not really. I just wanted to see if you were still listening!)
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and came to Maryland when I was five years old. I went back to Puerto Rico every summer until I turned sixteen years old.

I attended Hood College in Frederick, Maryland where I received a Bachelors of Arts in Education in 2000. In 1997, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and was activated for Operation Enduring Freedom. I served in the Marine Corps for eight years and received an Honorable Discharge in 2005.

While being a United States Marine, I graduated from Hood College and began teaching science in Baltimore, Maryland. Even though I was a Marine, my real passion had always been for teaching. I remember when I got my first teaching job , I was so excited. I couldn't believe I was doing exactly what I had always wanted to do. I had wanted to be a teacher since I was six years old. My love of teaching came from my first grade teacher, Mrs. Pulgerenski. When she taught me, she had to be in her late sixties. She had won the distinction of being one of the oldest teachers still teaching in Prince George's County. Due to her age a local newspaper wanted to write an article about her. When the reporters interviewed her, I was in the room doing my class job and I overheard the conversation. I remember, they asked her why she still chose to teach after so many years. She replied, "It's the only thing I ever wanted to do. I can't imagine doing anything else." I remember I smiled and said, "I want to be like Mrs. Pulgerenski when I grow up!" So needless to say the day I became a teacher was the happiest day of my life!

This is a picture of my first grade class. I am in the second row with the white shirt and pink skirt on.
It was the happiest day of my life, until I got married and later gave birth to our beautiful little girl. Then my life was filled with many, many, many more happy days. I never thought I could love anything more then teaching, until I became a mother. Being a mother has made me a better teacher and makes my love for children grow and grow. So now I am here at the Roland Park Country School, blessed with the opportunity to teach your wonderful daughters about computers. I hope to have a wonderful journey here at RPCS. Who knows, maybe I will even have Mrs. Pulgerenski beat!:)
