Internet Safety For Schools
As a school, what are the Internet safety issues your institution should be concerned with? Click on the link below to access an informative PowerPoint presentation I created for an in-service at the Digital Harbor School.
The Internet is a wonderful tool. It has changed the way we interact and communicate with other people. It has revolutionized how we do research and obtain information. While this freedom and availability of information is amazing, it also presents us with many challenges concerning our personal safety and privacy. This unit is intended to help educators -regardless of their technical know how-identify and understand the risks and dangers that exist in the online community. This unit will show educators how they can allow their students to tap into the wonders of the Internet, while safeguarding them from its potential hazards.

Cyber bullying web quest for parents
Cyber bullying is one of the biggest problems that young people face. While many parents are aware of physical bullying, they don't really have a good grasp as to what cyber bullying is. It is a serious problem that parents need to be aware of. This web quest will equip parents with information as to what cyber bullying is and hands-on activities on how to help teach and protect their children against it. A sample AUP template for parents is included in this webquest.

I used the interactive website toondoo.com to create this comic. The comic is embedded below if you want to preview it.
