A specially designed 8 week after school activity, just for you.  This is not a repeat of the same program presented earlier this winter – this time we go to a whole new level! Creative Drama uses theater games, dramatic play, story enactment, imagination journeys and music to let young girls present. You will benefit from dramatic experiences and there is no pressure to perform. The emphasis is on the process, rather than the product. Creative drama can let YOU learn about emotions, problem solving and relating to other people. You can develop your imagination and confidence and pretend to be anything you want to be. Girls will have a snack before the program begins, and they will be dismissed from the Harris Center, for your convenience.

Call Kaleidoscope at 410/323-5500, ext. 3045 to register.  We encourage prompt registrations, as the program will fill up quickly.

ADDY: AN AMERICAN GIRL STORY
The Lyric in Baltimore
Sunday, April 27                                                                               $90 per person
11:00 am – 3:30 pm

This special presentation of Addy’s American Girl at the beautiful Lyric is a story of great courage and love – love of family and love of freedom. Addy Walker had heard her parents whispers about freedom. Enslaved on a plantation in 1864, Addy’s family must run away if they hope to be free. When Poppa and Addy’s brother Sam are sold away, Addy and her mother must make the wrenching decision to escape to Philadelphia and to freedom on their own. But that means making some very hard choices that could cost them their lives. Addy must dig deep to find the courage to face a powerful truth; freedom sometimes has great costs.

NOTE: Recommended for children age 7 and over. One adult may accompany three children. No cancellations after February 15. Our school bus will depart from RPCS Parking Lot at 11:00 am. Light refreshments will be served on the trip home. Estimated return arrival time is dependent upon traffic.
