The family who reads together….has fun!   Parents, children, and any other interested family members can take part in this opportunity to experience and share in a red-hot book series—the wildly popular Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. You will participate in discussions and stimulating activities surrounding these exciting and suspenseful books.  Come join us in this reading adventure! 
NOTE: For ages 10 and up.  Before Session One, read The Hunger Games Before Session Two, read Catching Fire Before Session Three, read Mockingjay.

YOU, YOUR TEENAGER AND CONFLICT: Adding to Your Parenting Skill Set

This workshop will provide conflict transformation and resolution theory and techniques that parents and children alike can use to mediate family disputes. You will learn about conflict theory and strategies to resolve it, as well practices to use in family life. These techniques yield increased self-awareness and a greater understanding of others’ experiences of conflict, revealing your capability to resolve disagreements positively and constructively. Also discussed will be sibling dynamics and tips for dealing with personal reactivity, which involves anger management and self-awareness techniques.

She has pioneered the use of self-awareness training and practices for conflict interveners nationwide, teaching for Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation Insight Initiative for attorneys, CEOs, professionals and executives worldwide.
